Magic City was one of the first providers to offer employment services to people with disabilities. Today, we are one of the leading Employment Service Specialists in the State of Wyoming. 

Customized Employment – This service utilizes an individualized approach to employment planning and job development. This is done one person at a time and one employer at a time. MCE’s customized job coaching staff have been trained by a nationally recognized employment program that allows them to help each participant be the best they can be.

Community/Contract Employment – This service offers a wide array of job opportunities in the Cheyenne and surrounding areas. We work with local and federal contracts to develop opportunities for employment. Some of our contracts include:

  • License Plates of Wyoming – We contract with the State of Wyoming to create and manufacture WY state license plates. This contract employs people with disabilities and has been successful for several years.
  • GSA – This Federal contract provides janitorial services for the main Post Office and Federal Court Building in downtown Cheyenne. This allows for work with good pay and a lot of public interaction.
  • F. E. Warren Base Contract – We have a contract with the local air force base to provide janitorial and warehousing services at the base Commissary. Workers are under a minimum amount of supervision and must perform jobs that meet exact standards. The program provides a good wage while preparing individuals for more competitive employment.
  • Lowe’s Distribution Center – We contract with Lowe’s Distribution Center to help clean and maintain their Distribution Center east of Cheyenne. This contract has been on-going for numerous years and employs people with disabilities.

The wages for these jobs range from $7.25 to $16.00 per hour. The type of jobs people are working in include: janitorial, child care, prep cook, assembly, dish washing, courtesy clerk, and accounting clerk.

Magic City Enterprises assists people to locate employment, develop a resume, register with Work Force Services, and learn best interview practices. We also assist in job coaching and follow-along services.
